Brass City Charter School (BCCS), an Independent K-8 School, occupies the site of former church parish campus. With a holistic focus on education and the goal of eliminating the achievement gap for underserved students, BCCS is expanding its campus to enhance their academic offerings and activity spaces.
The former parish school will be renovated and expanded to accommodate the majority of the school’s classrooms, including a new science lab. Pre-K & Kindergarten classrooms as well as additional academic intervention spaces will be housed in the renovated parish convent. The former parish rectory will accommodate the school’s administrative offices. The former church building will be renovated into the school gymnasium, music rooms, art rooms and cafeteria. Reflecting the school’s mission to provide a safe, calm and responsive environment, edm moved all internal vehicular traffic to the campus perimeter to create a pedestrian only quad in the middle of the campus.
