edm designed the replacement of a chilled water plant at the William R. Cotter Building in Hartford, CT. A study of existing building systems as well as new chilled water generation technologies was performed. The plant consisted of chillers, towers, pumps, piping, and controls. The two chillers utilized were highly efficient, 200 ton water cooled magnetic levitation chillers. The project included chiller water pumps, condenser water pumps, and two cell cooling tower. edm oversaw the entire construction process to confirm compliance with design documents.
